Sensors are the device that communicates with the access point which is placed inside the building and that sensor communicated with the gateway. These sensors monitor the environment, record the information, and send it to a computer processor. The gateway aggregates the date from the sensor and then sends it to the cloud. In this advanced digital world, sensors are used for monitoring the variety of things in the building.

There are different things which need to be kept in mind before purchasing any sensor that is:
Battery life: the battery life of the sensor must be of a long time which doesn’t need to get replaced every year.
Cost: the sensor must be inexpensive for making it cost-effective. One must know how these sensors will be deployed and how the sensors will be designed and produced.
3. Analytics software
Software is the main component which helps in understanding the collected data by the sensors. The work of software is to remove and analyses the rich insights data and also helps in verifying how to transform those insights into the action.
The software can also integrate some other data sources which can be like utility rates or weather data which can conclude the course of action.
4. Interface of user
The interaction between you and the software is user interface like the screen of computers, displays, icons, etc. The very important thing is to deliver the information in a very simple and understanding manner. As the data is in huge amounts, it is necessary to process the data efficiently by the software.
The last is to find out the way for connecting the device with the internet for communication. There are different ways for connectivity which include Wi-Fi or cellular networking. Wi-Fi is a local network that gives a good communication network in most of the buildings but some of the IT departments don’t allow third-party IoT devices for connectivity because of security reasons. Cellulars are a popular choice as they can be operated over a long-range but it is something expensive.
