What is UPVC, How its made, Why it is so popular, Its benefits and types?
UPVC is mostly called Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride which is very rigid and hard material for making windows and doors. UPVC is generated from PVC which is known as Polyvinyl Chloride, was invented by one of the famous Chemists of German name Mr. August Wilhelm von Hofmann in the year 1872. PVC is often used for making pipes as this is flexible, soft in nature: it has a unique property that can not be seen in any other material, as this can be hard as engineered plastic and can be soft as rubber. For creating such types of unique products PVC goes from a very long process of blending which includes pigments, stabilizers, lubricants, processing aids which makes it attractive.

How UPVC get manufactured?
The manufacturing of UPVC is the art and work of science which makes the profile of UPVC much more resistant. There are 4 stages for manufacturing UPVC which are:
- Configuration of resin compound:
The primary step for manufacturing UPVC is the formation of a compound. A certain amount of raw material is used for preparing the mixture of resin. As the mixture is created from Calcium Carbonate and Titanium dioxide which makes uPVC more resistant from UV rays and more durable. The resin mixtures are made from lead-free substances for a friendly and healthier environment.
- Exclusion for the profile of UPVC;
The process of exclusion is a very important stage for the manufacturing of UPVC. The material gets heated in the temperature of 200-275 Celsius of degree for designing where automatic equipment is used which ensures that mixing is done accurately. And the last the mix get pulled for making a profile in shape.
- Packaging and Distribution:
Now it’s time to finalize the manufacturing process after a long journey of UPVC. The profiles are kept for getting cold from water then they take the shape sturdy. Once the profile gets cool then they get cut into shapes, the protective tapes and labels of packaging are used.
- Creating the reinforced profile:
This is the last process that is not included in the procedure of manufacturing which makes the profile of UPVC more strong and strengthful. Reinforcement is very important for making UPVC robust as this is the best form of reinforcement. The galvanized steel reinforcement is used in the reinforced profile.
